Grace's Note

This double-sided handout is from the Prehistoric Gardens roadside attraction in Port Orford, Oregon. The design style is reminiscent of the early 2000s, made clear by the Facebook logo on the bottom of the back panel, which was used from 2005 to 2009. (The Tripadvisor logo here was used up until 2020.) Maybe the nostalgia in the design of this handout speaks to the attraction itself, which looks backwards in time to explore the lives of the dinosaurs.

The bright yellow and green graphics could be a call to the University of Oregon colors. Their attention-grabbing brightness is exactly why it stood out amongst the competition on a large brochure rack in a gift shop off the 101 Highway.

The best part? Using the Jurassic Park font for the title!
