Toronto Visitors’ Map and Guide

by Eaton’s of Canada (1967)

This brochure was created by Eaton’s of Canada, a retail organization that was founded in 1867, and was later bought by Sears in 1999. There is a strong use of color throughout this brochure that makes it engaging to look at.

From the JCS Collection.

On the backside of the brochure is a celebration of the Centennial of Canada’s Confederation. This brochure was created in 1967.

May 1967 be just the beginning of another century of progress!

The best part of this brochure is its bright color scheme! The lavender + teal + green is eye-catching and fun.

The illustrations at the bottom of these panels are also really cool — they’re like little games of i-Spy!

The map on the inside of the brochure was a bit jarring compared to the color scheme of the rest of the brochure. The dark green and yellow sections threw off the cohesion that the other panels had maintained.
